Practise a task you actually need
Typing On brings timed copying, focused practice and independent mock exams into one browser-based tool. Choose a short test to establish a starting point, use Custom text for a safe example of your own, and compare accuracy with speed before choosing the next exercise. No account is required.
Languages and input methods
The studio currently offers 12 languages and 570 source passages. English, Bengali and Hindi have 100 each; the other 9 languages have 30 each. Chinese sources use Simplified characters. Japanese includes kana and kanji. Arabic and Urdu use right-to-left input. You provide an installed Unicode input method; the site does not install a keyboard.
How results help
Results report committed grapheme insertion attempts, elapsed time, accuracy, corrections and remaining errors. Five units form a standardized WPM word; CPM reports units per minute. These units are not a count of physical keys or natural words. Compare the same language, input method and settings. Reports are independent self-assessments, not official examination certificates.
Content and accountability
Guides and passages are prepared for Typing On with AI assistance. The guides are edited against the implemented controls and worked examples, and the application is checked through automated and browser tests. Independent native-language editorial approval is not claimed. We publish the review limits and welcome specific corrections rather than inventing reviewers, credentials or usage statistics.
A private practice workflow
Typing is evaluated in your browser. Optional history stays on the same device and browser and is not synchronized to a cloud account. The current report can be downloaded while it is available. See the privacy and cookie policies for storage details and advertising status.
